The electro scene

Story so far... Steamin' Isaiah is still treading the narrow road to fame, but on the way there they take you back to the smoky blues clubs of 50s Chicago to let you feel the rhythm of a "Memphis Rockabilly Slap Special" in the next moment.

With influences from Wynonie Harris and Jimmy Mc Cracklin, the harmonica shrimps and guitar licks land softly wrapped in confidently swinging basslines. Steamin´ has played at festivals and stages ranging from Oulu Jazz & Blues Festival in Finland to Berseel Castle Blues & Rock Festival in Belgium.

The band was formed back in 2001 initially with a mission as a house band on the local TV channel back home in Skellefteå, harmonica player Lars Lundberg and drummer Niklas Bränberg already fought together in "The Wyatt Earp Band"...Skellefteå's answer to Faboulos Thunderbirds".

Guitarist Per-Anders Andersson fronted his own Stevie Ray/ Jimi Hendrix band "Steamboat Bluesband" and bassist Urban Åhdén went from the country & western band "Native sons" to what would become Steamin' Jesaja. A four-song demo was recorded and it paved the way for the boys to, among other things, Mönsterås and Östersund's Blues Festival.

Steamin' Isaiah consists of:

  • Lars Lundberg, Singing/harmonica
  • Urban Åhdén, Bass
  • Nicklas Bränberg, Drums
  • PA Andersson, Guitar
